Managing Associate
Tomáš Čermák is an attorney-at-law at Weinhold Legal, which he joined in 1999. He currently serves as Head of the Brno office.
Tomáš focuses primarily on legal projects related to mergers and acquisitions and competition law. He also has extensive experience in other areas of commercial and labour law and has participated in a number of large-scale, complex legal projects.
His clients have included many major Czech, Slovak, and international companies, such as ENEL, Taisei, Société Générale/KB, Citibank, CME, RWE, Textron, McAfee, Nokia, Angelini, and Lagardère Travel Retail.
Tomáš is a co-author of Redundancy Law in Europe and Age Discrimination Law in Europe, published by Kluwer Law International B.V. (The Netherlands) in 2008 and 2009, respectively. He is also a co-author of Comparison of the Czech and Slovak Labour Codes, published by ANAG Publishing House in 2018.
He participated in a project preparing a comprehensive study on the operation and impact of the Statute for a European Company (Societas Europaea – SE) in nearly all EU and EEA member states for the European Commission.
The Legal 500 and Chambers Europe have referred to Tomáš in their sections on recommended law firms in the area of Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions in Slovakia. He has also been recommended as a leading lawyer in Mergers & Acquisitions by IFLR1000, by European Legal Experts in Corporate and Finance for Slovakia, and by Chambers Europe in the area of Employment.

Tomáš graduated from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague. He is a Czech-qualified attorney-at-law, registered with the Czech Bar Association (Česká advokátní komora), and is also a member of the Slovak Bar Association (Slovenská advokátní komora).
He speaks fluent English in addition to his native Czech.
