Legal Advisory on Stelar’s Entry into In Equity

September 2026

Weinhold Legal provided comprehensive legal advice to the shareholder of securities dealer In Equity Czech Republic, o.c.p., a.s., in connection with its sale to the Czech financial group Stelar, part of the Axelor investment holding.

The financial group Stelar, which forms part of the Axelor investment holding, acquired a 9.67% stake in licensed securities dealer In Equity. Following approval by the Czech National Bank, Stelar will take control of the entire company, which it has committed to further strengthen through capital investment, management expertise and technological development.

In Equity operates under the supervision of the Czech National Bank and provides investment services to both individual and corporate clients. The company primarily focuses on securities trading and client services in the capital markets sector.

“This transaction was specific due to the fact that a securities dealer operates in a highly regulated area of capital markets under the supervision of the Czech National Bank. At the same time, the transaction brings together our client’s strong know-how with the potential of the Stelar financial group, which will, among other things, be reflected in the long-term cooperation between the two entities. We are therefore pleased that we were able to provide our client with legal support in the successful completion of this transaction,” said Ondřej Tejnský, Managing Associate at Weinhold Legal specialising in M&A and capital markets advisory.

The legal advice included comprehensive support for the seller throughout the entire transaction process, in particular the preparation and negotiation of extensive transaction documentation, coordination of legal aspects of the due diligence process, and assistance with the signing and subsequent closing of the transaction.

The Weinhold Legal team advising on the transaction consisted of Martin Lukáš, Ondřej Tejnský and Tomáš Novák.
