Pav Younis

Pav is a solicitor and head of the firm’s real estate group.

Pav has worked in Weinhold Legal since 1998. Prior to joining Weinhold Legal, Pav worked in London and Hong Kong and was a senior associate at the English branch of Andersen Legal, Andersen Legal Garretts from 1995-1998, where he specialised in commercial litigation and arbitration, both international and domestic.

In Pav specialises in real estate and mergers and acquisitions work for inward investing multinational clients from the United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Western Europe. The types of projects Pav has been involved with include acquisitions and disposals, privatisations, commercial leasing and real estate development and real estate finance for banks and borrowers.

Pav has represented many local and international real estate and corporate clients, including CEFC, CBRE, Discovery Group, Red Group, Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, NAMA, Allied Irish Banks, Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Limited, Investec, McKechnie Group, Avestus (Quinlan Private Golub), Tyco International, Unilever, Citibank, YIT, Wall Street English, Kartesia Credit Opportunities, ManpowerGroup, Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna, Toni & Guy, Penta Investments and ORCO Group.

Since 2013 Pav is recognised as an expert in the area of Real Estate Law by Best Lawyers, the oldest and most respected peer review publication in the legal profession. Pav Younis has been recommended by Chambers Europe in Banking & Finance and recognized for Real Estate section, and by Chambers Global in their Banking & Finance section and further was listed among the leading lawyers in the PLC Which lawyer? for Real Estate and Corporate/M&A. Pav obtained his law degree from Bristol University in 1985 and qualified as an English solicitor in 1990. Pav is a member of the Czech Bar Association, to which he won international accreditation in 1998.

Pav is a native English speaker and has a working knowledge of Czech.
