The use of artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming not only a technological issue but also a legal one. The EU’s Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act) establishes a new framework for the development, deployment, and use of AI systems, and its practical implications will gradually have a significant impact on how organizations operate in the coming years.

August 2, 2026, remains a significant milestone, 8. when obligations regarding the transparency of AI systems under Article 50(1) of the AI Act, in particular, and other rules related to the use of AI systems will begin to be applied more strictly. At the same time, however, a new political agreement has been reached at the EU level to postpone the application of certain rules for some high-risk AI systems to a later date. Understanding which rules will begin to be applied in practice as early as 2026 and which will be implemented in subsequent years is currently one of the key practical issues for organizations.

The key question, therefore, is:
Is your AI subject to regulation—and if so, what does that mean for you?

In this webinar, we will focus on gaining a practical understanding of:

  • how the AI Act handles the categorization of AI systems,
  • what typically falls (and does not fall) under the category of high-risk AI,
  • what basic obligations may arise,
  • where organizations most often make mistakes,
  • how to get started with an internal assessment of AI tools.

The program will also include a practical session based on a real-world project involving the implementation of AI at a Czech law firm. We will examine specific issues that should be addressed even before the AI Act takes effect—particularly regarding data handling, tool selection, and the establishment of basic governance frameworks. We will explore three key questions:

  • Where does your data actually go when an employee uses AI?
  • What is the practical difference between a public AI tool, an enterprise cloud, and on-premises deployment?
  • What do the AI Act’s requirements for transparency, risk management, and documentation mean for day-to-day operations?

The goal of this webinar is not to delve into the details of individual provisions, but to help you understand what is truly important in practice—and what needs to be addressed right away.
