Legal advice provided by Amundi regarding the purchase of the Riverview building in Smíchov

July 2026

Weinhold Legal provided legal advice to Amundi Czech Republic on the acquisition of the Riverview office building in Prague’s Smíchov district, acquired by the Amundi Real Estate Fund KB 4 from Invesco Real Estate. The transaction represents another step in the implementation of the fund’s investment strategy focused on high-quality commercial real estate in attractive locations, with a stable tenant profile and high ESG standards.

The Riverview building is located in close proximity to Anděl metro station, the Nový Smíchov shopping centre and the Vltava riverbank. Completed in 2014, the modern office building offers 7,652 sqm of office space and 90 underground parking spaces. Its key features include LEED Gold and BREEAM Very Good certifications, roof terraces, a green roof overlooking the Vltava River and recently modernised interiors. The main tenant of the building is the IT innovation centre of the global pharmaceutical company MSD.

“We are pleased to have once again supported Amundi in a significant real estate transaction on the Czech market. The Riverview building combines strong technical parameters, a solid tenant profile and an attractive location, which from a legal perspective required particular focus on thorough due diligence and smooth preparation of the transaction documentation,” said Václav Štraser, Managing Associate at Weinhold Legal.

The legal support for this transaction was provided by the Weinhold Legal team, consisting of Martin Lukáš, Václav Štraser, and Lenka Němečková
