Citibank
We provided full legal services to Citibank in its recent lease of new headquarters in Prague 5 from the developer Avestus (formerly Quinlan Private Golub), including office retail and storage premises and ongoing support.Our advice included negotiating on behalf of the Bank three separate lease and future lease agreements and support on technical construction and fit out issues.The Bank occupied its new offices in May 2010.
We have also been instructed in respect of a lease of the Bank’s new branch on Brno, again providing full legal support in negotiating and completing the lease.
Grandi Stazioni
Weinhold Legal advised Grandi Stazioni on various aspects of our client's successful participation in a tender for revitalisation of three railway stations in the Czech Republic – the Main Railway Station in Prague and stations in Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně. Grandi Stazioni will reconstruct and commercially use the railway stations for a period of 30 years. The total investment should exceed 25 mil. EUR.
Legal services also included complex advice in respect of an FIDIC construction contract concluded with a leading construction company for the reconstruction of the Prague Main Railway Station and Mariánské Lázně Railway Station. Additionally, we advised Grandi Stazioni on matters connected with the Lease Agreements concluded with the owner of the stations (Czech Railways) as well as corporate matters connected with Grandi Stazioni including entry of the EBRD into the project and financing of the whole project.
Red Group
Full advice on a large number of matters including development and investment acquisition and disposals, leasing, financing and corporate advice, including the acquisition and subsequent re-organisation of Walter a.s., an industrial group in Prague for a major future mixed-use re-development. Leasing work includes the landmark lease of 5000 m2 of office space in its prestigious mixed-use development in Ostrava to HSBC plc as its CEE call centre.
Red Group/Park Inn Hotel
Weinhold Legal acted as the legal advisor of a project company (a member of Red Group) in connection with project financing for the refurbishment, construction and development of a Park Inn hotel in Prague, including financing of the project company, transaction structuring, review of the loan and security documents and additional financing provided by shareholders of the project company.
